The recent 'Wetter than normal' weather is a clear indication that the climate is changing, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know when you heat up the environment, there will be more water evaporation (70% of our earth's surface is water). And with more evaporation, it's just going to rain more…
Come 10th Oct 2010, it will be a special date for many to remember not only because many green groups are pledging something to do for our environment (www.350.org) but more importantly, there will be more trees planted for those already cut down and more importantly reduce our Carbon Footprint to a more sustainable level. (Trees also help to regular the water cycle in our planet)
This will be a coordinated effort globally and SEC is pleased to be the Singapore coordinator; we are targeting at schools, NGOs and organizations to sign up.
There are 3 ways to show support for this project
1)Plant the Tree sapling at your org/school/home(cost can start from $10 for a small sapling)
2)Donate tree sapling to other organization/NGOs/Charities who might need financial help to buy the saplings http://www.give.sg/org/SEC/Trees
3)Tell as many friends/contacts on this project to get them on board.
The more trees we plant, the more CO2 will be absorbed by our actions…
